Update: October 20th, 2026

even more website updates! i got a flash of an idea while i was doing stuff and i managed to make it come to life really close to what i'd imagined!

i also decided on a new rule for adding songs to the button: whenever i add a song, i can't get rid of it. it stays in the list of songs forever. the reason for this is that well, it would take way too long to re-number everything in the array, and since i have to now add an artist page if the song is added under a new artist, i wouldn't want to get rid of all that effort i put in. and also, who knows, maybe you'll like the potential songs i wanted to remove more than i ever did. (the songs still go by the rule that i had to like them at some point, though.)

changelog:

p.s for the p.s. note: what i said about updates being slower in the last entry might not actually be the case, since i still have some free time actually... just not as much as before. so i'll still probably be able to update the site as usual with no issue.

Update: October 6th, 2026

lots of website updates today!

changelog:

p.s. note: updates will probably be slower for now on, because i now have more stuff i have to do irl. i'll still try to do the monthly button updates, though, hopefully...

Update: October 2nd, 2026

HUGE update today!! i've finally made this website look a little bit more presentable!!!! and i'm eventually gonna add a bunch of new pages as well, but that'll probably take a while so i'm done for now.

note: this update actually went live on October 3rd because neocities went down for maintenance right when i finished. oof. but i worked on it for the entire night of the 2nd.

changelog:

Update: September 30th, 2026

sorry about the lack of an update last month! i had planned to do one, but i got a little demotivated and then the time flew by. so now i just combined both monthly updates into one, adding the songs i found throughout both August and September 2026! There are now over 400 songs the button can choose from!

August 2026 additions from the following releases:
September 2026 additions from the following releases:

other website updates:

mini-Update: August 25th, 2026

added a little status.cafe box to the updates page so you can see what i'm thinking about when you stumble across this page. also updated the layout of the status.cafe page last night as well to better match this website :)

also, i started compiling the songs to add on September 1st. i'll be adding the songs from my new E.P coming out August 28th along with a few new finds from other artists as always.

mini-Update: August 5th, 2026

fixed the YouTube links for the LSD and the Search for God songs. for some reason the official youtube music stream videos got re-uploaded... i wonder if this is a thing that happens all the time for those Topic videos... might have to change the links on lots of songs if that's the case. (or maybe, they're actually releasing something????? no way????!!)

Update: August 4th, 2026

new monthly additions, with various fuzzy songs i found throughout July 2026, from the following releases:

i also made a few updates to the website itself:

Update: July 19th, 2026

i've finally finished all of the initial songs to the button! there are now over 300 songs the button can pick, all fuzzy songs in various genres that i like, from the following releases:

whew! even though that is a pretty massive list already, there's probably still some more fuzzy songs that i know that i didn't yet add to the randomizer array, and also some more amazing songs i've yet to hear that deserve to be added as well. so, i've decided that i'm gonna write down notes throughout every month of all the songs i want to add, and on the first of the month i'll add new pink fuzzy songs to the button every month. so, please be sure to check back to see which songs i've added, i'll always make a list of the releases the songs are from here on the updates page :)

Update: July 16th, 2026

pinkfuzzysounds.neocities.org is back up and running! for those who didn't see the previous version of the website (and, let's face it, you most likely didn't)... the old version of the website was like a personal diary of me talking about every sound i've ever listened to in my life. but, i realized that that was a little too ambitious of an idea and way too much to maintain (who wants to edit html every time you listen to an album?) so i took it offline. but all of a sudden on 7.16.2026 i got an idea. the button thing! i mean, this website is called pinkfuzzysounds, so why not just make this website a place to listen to a bunch of cool pink fuzzy songs??? and after a bunch of hours of coding i was able to bring it to life :) i think this new idea is a lot more fun. i hope you will find a new amazing pink fuzzy song to listen to! i'm still working on adding more songs, so check back later and you might be surprised with what the button'll give you.

and also: you might be wondering: what determines if a song is pink and fuzzy or not? and basically... uh... i guess it's just if it's like... a noisy shoegaze song. doesn't necessarily have to be "shoegaze" either just anything noisy and fuzzy that fits. i could actually base it off the color of the song (since sometimes i associate songs with colors) but then it would be way too limiting since there's not actually that many shoegaze songs that i see as actually being pink. the main ones are the songs on loveless, pinkshinyultrablast, and destiny XL. and even then the hues vary. like, for example, the songs on Destiny XL are more red than pink honestly, and pretty murky i guess too? and i put "angel" by mbv from the rare tracks comp on here but to me that song is more purple. and every full body 2 song is way more white and blue than pink. so yeah don't take the pink thing too seriously, for all the synesthetes out there. there would be like 5 songs the button could pick if i wanted to be strict about it.
