added a little status.cafe box to the updates page so you can see what i'm thinking about when you stumble across this page. also updated the layout of the status.cafe page last night as well to better match this website :)
also, i started compiling the songs to add on September 1st. i'll be adding the songs from my new E.P coming out August 28th along with a few new finds from other artists as always.

fixed the YouTube links for the LSD and the Search for God songs. for some reason the official youtube music stream videos got re-uploaded... i wonder if this is a thing that happens all the time for those Topic videos... might have to change the links on lots of songs if that's the case. (or maybe, they're actually releasing something????? no way????!!)

whew! even though that is a pretty massive list already, there's probably still some more fuzzy songs that i know that i didn't yet add to the randomizer array, and also some more amazing songs i've yet to hear that deserve to be added as well. so, i've decided that i'm gonna write down notes throughout every month of all the songs i want to add, and on the first of the month i'll add new pink fuzzy songs to the button every month. so, please be sure to check back to see which songs i've added, i'll always make a list of the releases the songs are from here on the updates page :)

pinkfuzzysounds.neocities.org is back up and running! for those who didn't see the previous version of the website (and, let's face it, you most likely didn't)... the old version of the website was like a personal diary of me talking about every sound i've ever listened to in my life. but, i realized that that was a little too ambitious of an idea and way too much to maintain (who wants to edit html every time you listen to an album?) so i took it offline. but all of a sudden on 7.16.2026 i got an idea. the button thing! i mean, this website is called pinkfuzzysounds, so why not just make this website a place to listen to a bunch of cool pink fuzzy songs??? and after a bunch of hours of coding i was able to bring it to life :) i think this new idea is a lot more fun. i hope you will find a new amazing pink fuzzy song to listen to! i'm still working on adding more songs, so check back later and you might be surprised with what the button'll give you.
and also: you might be wondering: what determines if a song is pink and fuzzy or not? and basically... uh... i guess it's just if it's like... a noisy shoegaze song. doesn't necessarily have to be "shoegaze" either just anything noisy and fuzzy that fits. i could actually base it off the color of the song (since sometimes i associate songs with colors) but then it would be way too limiting since there's not actually that many shoegaze songs that i see as actually being pink. the main ones are the songs on loveless, pinkshinyultrablast, and destiny XL. and even then the hues vary. like, for example, the songs on Destiny XL are more red than pink honestly, and pretty murky i guess too? and i put "angel" by mbv from the rare tracks comp on here but to me that song is more purple. and every full body 2 song is way more white and blue than pink. so yeah don't take the pink thing too seriously, for all the synesthetes out there. there would be like 5 songs the button could pick if i wanted to be strict about it.
